Senate Judiciary Chairman Grassley to discuss committee agenda, April 27

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-IA, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, will discuss the Committee’s agenda and actions at Newsmakers news conference on Monday, April 27 at 10 a.m. in the club’s Bloomberg Room.

In addition to chairing the Judiciary Committee, Grassley serves as a senior member on the committees on Finance, Budget, Agriculture and Joint Tax. He is chairman of the Caucus on International Narcotics Control and co-chairman of the Caucus on Foster Youth. He is also the founding member of the Senate Whistleblower Protection Caucus, formed this Congress.

Grassley has pressed for Whistleblower protection, teen imprisonment alternatives, courtroom cameras, seniors’ rights, human trafficking protections, oversight of government fraud and abuse, and encouragement of American agriculture, among other issues. He is the author of the Whistleblower Protection Act and the Medicare Prescription Drug benefit.
