Runners mark your calendars: Beat the Deadline 5K on June 9

Runners, take your mark _ or at least mark it on your calendars: The NPC's BEAT THE DEADLINE 5K will be run Saturday, June 9, at 7:30 a.m.

The 5K committee is seeking race day volunteers and donations. The race, which is in its 15th year, will once again start in front of the National Press Club and will conclude with a pancake breakfast in the Club's ballroom.

Early bird tickets, available until May 30, cost is $25 for NPC Members and students and $30 for the general public. After May 30, advance race registration costs $35. Race Day registration costs $40. Proceeds from the race benefit the Club's diversity scholarships.
