Pulitzer rules are changing; learn more at the Club, Nov. 16
The Pulitzer Prize board recently announced two big changes: Magazines are eligible to win in all categories, and cover letters are being replaced with a questionnaire.
Gain an understanding of these changes from a panel of experts on entering the Pulitzer competition, organized by the the National Press Club Journalism Institute's Professional Developmewnt Committee, in the Club's Bloomberg Room at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16.

The panel lineup includes a board member who can talk about the changes and a professional awards coordinator whose job it is to understand these kind of changes. Two Pulitzer jurors can also discuss how the changes might affect the judging.
Panelists are:
- Hannah Allam, a national correspondent for McClatchy Newspapers, former Pulitzer juror.
- Robert Blau, executive editor, Bloomberg News, member of the Pulitzer Prize Board
- Debbie Hoffman, journalism awards expert (former awards coordinator for The Wall Street Journal)
- Sandy Sugawara, deputy director of Voice of America, formerly an editor at The Washington Post
