Want to win a Pulitzer? Blau, Hoffman, Allam offer an insider's look, Nov. 16

Three top journalists will offer an insider's look at how to compete for the Pulitzer Prize at a Nov. 16 panel discussion hosted by the National Press Club Professional Development Committee.

The event will run from 9:30 - 11 a.m. in the Bloomberg Room. Seating will be limited so please reserve soon. Tickets cost $5 for Club members, $10 for the general public and can be purchased online.

The panel will explain how entries are evaluated and how award winning entries are assembled. And the insights offered would be useful for nearly any journalism contest. The event begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Bloomberg Room.

The panel will feature:

Hannah Allam, a national correspondent for McClatchy Newspapers, former Pulitzer juror Robert Blau, executive editor, Bloomberg News, and member of the Pulitzer Prize Board Debbie Hoffman, journalism awards consultant (former awards coordinator for The Wall Street Journal).

The committee expects to add one panelist at a later date. Mike Soraghan of E&E News will moderate.
