Politico's Schultheis joins Oct. 30 panel on election and social media

Emily Schultheis, national political reporter for POLITICO, will join three others on a panel Tuesday, Oct. 30, to discuss social media's role in the 2012 presidential campaigns.

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. with continental breakfast and coffee; the program will begin at 9 a.m. Members may register for free using discount code "NPCOnline" here. Others can reserve at the same site for $10.

The panel will focus on how the 2012 presidential candidates have used social media, what future U.S. elections will look like, and why communications executives should pay attention to these trends.

Other members of the panel include David Almacy, senior vice president, digital stragies at Edelman Pr and adjunct lecturer at George Washington Univeristy; Colin Delany, founder and editor of Epolitics.com; and Alex Howard, Government 2.0 Washington Correspondent for O'Reilly Media.
