NRCC Chair Rep. Greg Walden to Address Thursday, Sept. 8 Newsmaker to Discuss Strategy to Keep House Majority

Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump trails in the polls, the Senate is in play, what about the House? Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.), Chair of the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee, will speak at a National Press Club Newsmaker news conference, Thursday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m., in the Club’s Zenger Room.

The NRCC Chair will outline the House Republicans’ strategy, agenda, messaging, targeting, voter outreach, and the ability to keep the House under Republican leadership.

Walden was selected by then House Speaker John Boehner to chair the NRCC in November 2012. The Congressman serves on the Energy and Commerce Committee and chairs its Subcommittee on Communications and Technology.

Residing in Hood River, Walden represents Oregon’s 2nd Congressional District, and has served in Congress since 2009. The district is Oregon’s largest geographically and includes Medford as its biggest city.

A similar NPC Newsmaker with Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chair Ben Ray Lujan (D-N.M.) was held on July 12.
