The trip will allow time to relax on the pristine beaches, enjoy the great food, and luxuriate in the spectacular accommodations. The first stop is the Arenal Kioro, where every room is a suite with in-room Jacuzzi, a private terrace, and views of the volcano. If you can pull yourself away from your spectacular room, your adventure begins with a floating safari through the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. The year-round rain forest, grasslands, and marshes of this area, accessible only by boat, provide shelter for various endangered species, including cougars, jaguars, tapirs, ocelots, peccary, and several species of monkeys.

Next, travelers will explore the active Arenal Volcano where they can see recent lava flows, a variety of plants and wildlife, magnificent lava rock formations, and the Arenal Lake. Enjoy dinner at the Lava Lounge overlooking the mighty Arenal at its best -- after dark. While staying at the Arenal Kioro there will be an opportunity to arrange private walking tours of the hanging bridges or engage in the more adventuresome canyon waterfall repelling and/or canopy zip-line touring.

The following day, after traveling by private transport to the Pacific Coast Guanacaste area, you will enjoy free time to swim, sunbath, and relax at the beautiful Tamarindo Diria resort where you will have an opportunity to view the best sunsets in Costa Rica from your private terrace/balcony. The resort is an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and bars.

Finally, you will spend a full day exploring several colorful, romantic, Spanish colonial cities in nearby Nicaragua, including Penas Blancas, Granada City and Masaya City.
