NPC plans seminar on 'Social Media Trends for Social Media Managers' June 12 at noon

The National Press Club is planning a Webbmedia Group workshop for social media managers featuring the most important trends in networks, analytics and apps. Attendees will look at several case studies highlighting how brands are using – and in some cases, abusing – social media.

This social media workshop is being taught by Amy Webb, lead trendspotter and chief executive officer of Webbmedia Group.

Webb studies disruptive technologies and advises a worldwide client base for Fortune 100 and Global 1000 companies, government agencies, media organizations, and foundations. She holds a number of professional affiliations, including as a research affiliate at the MIT Media Lab, a lecturer at the Columbia University Sulzberger Program and as a delegate on the U.S.-Russia Bilateral Presidential Commission.

Webb judges many of the emerging tech/accelerator awards and serves on a number of boards, including SXSW Accelerator, Online News Association, Knight Batten, International Center for Journalists and International Press Institute.
