NPC Newsmakers plans examination of U.S.-Latin America relationship, May 10, 10 a.m.

The National Press Club Newsmakers Committee has invited Daniel Linsker, an authority on Latin America, to discuss the future of U.S. and Latin America relations on Thursday, May 10 at 10 a.m.

With the Asian economies set to overtake the U.S. and the European Union as Latin America’s top trading partner, is the U.S. set to lose its regional influence? How will this affect U.S. business prospects and the geopolitical balance of power in the region, at a time when its commodities are increasingly attractive?

Linsker currently serves as vice president of global services in South America for Control Risks. He previously taught Latin American politics at the London School of Economics.
