'National Geographic' photographer to present 40 years of stories and photos March 23

Fresh from speaking at a sold-out venue in National Geographic magazine's Grosvenor Audtorium, Lynn Abercrombie will appear at the National Press Club Friday, March 23, to tell stories and show photos of her travels with her late husband Tom as he covered every continent and the seven seas for the magazine for nearly 50 years.

The event, slated to begin at 7 p.m., will celebrate "Traveling the World for National Geographic," a new book featuring stunning images from their remarkable lives.

Lynn and her daughter Mari will share personal stories and photographs about life on assignment with Tom Abercrombie. She will also describe her own experience as an official photographer for the magazine -- gaining access and capturing photographs in places where her husband was not allowed.

At the conclusion of the presentation, Lynn will sell and sign copies of their limited edition book for $60. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.
