NAACP National President Cornell W. Brooks to discuss protests in Flint, criminal justice reform at March 18 Newsmaker

Cornell W. Brooks, the National President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization, will address issues of importance to the nation and in particular to African-Americans at a Newsmaker news conference on Fri., March 18, at 10 a.m. in the club's Zenger Room. Among the topics to be discussed are planned demonstrations in Flint, Mich., the criminal justice reform debate and the 2016 presidential campaign.

An ordained African Methodist Episcopal minister and Yale University Law School graduate, Mr. Brooks took over the reins of the NAACP in May of 2014.
