Meet the authors at the Book Fair Nov. 18

The National Press Club is pleased to announce that it will partner once again with Washington’s premier independent bookstore, Politics & Prose, on the Club's annual Book Fair and Authors’ Night Tuesday, Nov. 18.

You’ll find something for everyone on your literary holiday list at the 37th annual Book Fair & Authors’ Night. From former U.S. Sen. Jim Webb’s “I Hear my Country Calling: A Memoir,” to best-selling author Cokie Robert’s “Founding Mothers: Remembering the Ladies,” and ballet prodigy Misty Copeland’s “Firebird,” you’re sure to find just what you need. They will be among close to 100 nationally known writers autographing and selling their books at the festive event scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The event is a fundraiser for The National Press Club’s Journalism Institute, a 501 (c) (3) that provides training, research and resources for news professionals and scholarships for the next generation of journalists.

For the sixth year, the Book Fair is partnering with The SEED Foundation, which helps under-served students prepare for college. The young scholars attend one of two public boarding schools in the District and Maryland. The students select books they believe would enrich their education and patrons can buy them at the fair to help develop the Baltimore SEED School library. A group of students from the SEED school attend the event each year, giving them a chance to meet with authors and attendees.

Admission to the 37th annual fair is $5 for Club members, $10 for non-members.
No outside books permitted. To buy tickets and see a full list of participants here.
