Maureen Dowd discusses her book, election on current Update-1 podcast

Maureen Dowd, a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for the New York Times and best-selling author of "The Year of Voting Dangerously," a book about the 2016 presidential campaign, is the guest of the National Press Club's current Update-1 podcast.

In the podcast, Art Swift, Gallup managing aditor and member of the Club's Broadcast/Podcast Committee,discusses with Dowd several anecdotes in her book, including personal dealings with Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, George H.W. Bush and George W. Bush.

Swift and Dowd explore what may be in store after the election for both Trump and Clinton, along with pondering how the nation got to this place in politics in 2016.
