Maraniss to toast Woodward

David Maraniss, The Washington Post associate editor, will toast his Post colleague, Bob Woodward, at the Fourth Estate Award dinner Friday, Sept. 21.

Maraniss, like Woodward, is a Pulitzer Prize winner. Other Post executives who will pay tribute to Woodward are publisher Katharine Weymouth and Donald Graham, CEO and chairman of the Washington Post Co.

Through Sept. 14, club members may buy two tickets for $125 apiece. Other tickets are $200 apiece.

Tickets are available here or by calling the event line at 202-662-7501.

Woodward is the 40th recipient of the Fourth Estate Award, the National Press Club’s highest honor, given annually to an American journalist for a lifetime of achievement in the field.

The dinner and an accompanying silent auction raise money for the NPC Journalism Institute, the Club’s non-profit arm, which provides professional development and training services to the journalism community as well as scholarships for aspiring journalists.
