Legendary RS bartender Jack Kujawski dead at 72

Jack Kujawski, a legend at the Reliable Source Bar where he served up drinks and wisdom for a quarter century, has died at age 72.

A Vietnam veteran, Jack had been ill for several months and was being treated for a condition related to his service. Most recently he had also suffered from a minor stroke, but had returned from the hospital to his apartment.

On Thursday evening May 26 a call came in to the Bar with the news that Jack had passed away.

Jack first came to the Club in 1986.

"Jack was always wonderful to me whenever I was having something to eat or having a drink at the bar," recalls member Gary Kozel. "He was also terrific when I had groups, business associates or colleagues visiting."

Information related to his memorial service will be announced as it becomes available.
