Last day to sign up for Marvin Kalb's talk and movie screening of "Good Night and Good Luck"

Journalism luminary Marvin Kalb, the last correspondent personally hired at CBS News by Edward R. Murrow, will discuss threats to U.S. democracy in the Trump administration at a National Press Club Journalism Institute’s Press Freedom Committee talk on Thursday, March 30 at 6 p.m. in the Murrow Room.

The talk will be followed by a screening of the film “Good Night and Good Luck," which chronicles Murrow’s epic rebuke of Sen. Joseph McCarthy.

This event is open to NPC members, working journalists, and students. The forum is free to members and students, and costs $10 for the general public. Registration is required. Please click here to register.

The event begins with a cash bar reception at 6 p.m., followed by Kalb’s remarks at 6.30pm. The film will be shown at 7:30 p.m.
