Celebrate the holidays with jazz and a special buffet.

National Press Club members and their guest are invited to the Club's annual holiday buffet, which takes place Thursday, Dec. 14 and features music from the U Street Jazz Collective. To reserve space, please contact the Reliable Source at RS @press.org or 202-662-7443.

The price of the buffet is $24 for Club members and $28 for nonmembers, plus tax and gratuity.

Dinner will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the music will begin at 6 p.m. in the Truman Lounge.

Dinner Menu:

Soup: Southwestern butternut squash soup with sour cream-chive garnish

Salads:

Roasted beets, orange and arugula with spiced pecans

Pears, cranberries, walnuts and blue cheese with mustard vinaigrette

Sour cream cucumbers with dill and mint

Apple & pear winter fruit salad with lemon poppy seed dressing

Hot Buffet:

Bone-in ham with pineapple-ginger glaze (carved to order)

Roast goose with apple cranberry herb stuffing

Seven fish Christmas Eve stew with fennel, tomatoes and peppers

Mexican (corn husk) and Salvadorian (banana leaf) chicken tamales

Cauliflower, leek and Parmesan vegetarian gratin

Chive and celery mashed potatoes with pan gravy

Three mushrooms, black lentils and Parmesan parsley croutons

Dessert:

Chocolate and Hazelnut Buche de Noel

Profiterole caramel Christmas tree (Buche de Noel) with vanilla custard

Pumpkin Cheesecake

Ho Ho Ho Cookies
