Labor Secretary Perez to outline agency's use of power, influence to advance workers’ issues at June 22 luncheon

Labor Secretary Thomas E. Perez will return to the National Press Club for a June 22 luncheon where he will discuss the Department of Labor’s work on behalf of working families.

Perez plans to discuss how the Administration has used every tool in its toolkit -- including its regulatory authority, strategic enforcement, convening power, and robust engagement with the private sector -— to give all Americans the chance to get ahead and stay ahead. Perez last spoke at the Club in October 2014.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a Q&A session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $24 for National Press Club members and one guest, and $38 for non-members.

Club members who wish to attend the pre-luncheon reception must RSVP separately to [email protected] at least 48 hours in advance. Space may be limited. You must have a paid reservation to the luncheon to attend the VIP reception.
