Jerusalem Post journalist gets to "bottom line" on blogging at June 19 lunch

The Events Committee will feature Niv Elis of the Jerusalem Post for its next “Get it Online” lunch discussion Tuesday, June 19, from noon to 1:15 p.m. in the McClendon Room.

This event will be especially pertinent for journalists who seek to begin blogging or to improve their blogging.

Niv Elis is a breaking news editor, web columnist and featured blogger for The Jerusalem Post. His blog "The Bottom Line" (http://blogs.jpost.com/users/bottom-line) applies his expertise in policy, economics, conflict and Middle East affairs to provide an insider's view of the policy behind the politics, and the numbers behind the policy.

A graduate of the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), Niv has written for Forbes, The Washington Post and The Christian Science Monitor, among other publications.

Lunch will start promptly at 12 p.m. Prepared remarks will be limited to 10 minutes to maximize time for an informal discussion among the participants and Elis.
