Host of Pati’s Mexican Table on PBS to present chef’s dinner at Fourth Estate in March

Patricia Jinich, host of Pati’s Mexican Table on PBS and cooking instructor at the Mexican Cultural Institute, will host a chef’s dinner Tuesday, March 19, featuring recipes from her new cookbook, Pati’s Mexican Table.

Jinich, born and raised in Mexico, left a job as political analyst at Inter American Dialogue, to create Mexican Table at the Mexican Cultural Institute. The series of demonstrations, workshops and classes grew into a featured cooking show on PBS and many guest appearances.

“Through this program, I try to swing a window wide open into the fascinating world of Mexican cuisine,” Jinich writes. “I help familiarize people with its ingredients and cooking techniques, with a sprinkling of culture, history and traditions.”

Jinich has worked with the chef pioneers; including Diana Kennedy, Patricia Quintana and Stephan Pyles; who introduced Mexican ingredients and dishes to the United States.

Planning for the dinner at the National Press Club is underway and details will be shared as they become available. For now, be sure to save the date!
