Here's what to look forward to at the Club in early 2013

With 2012 fast drawing to a close, here's a peek at some of the Club events taking place early in the new year.

Jan. 21 -- Presidential inauguration. Executive Chef Susan Delbert is preparing special dishes for members and their guests in the Reliable Source, where extra TV sets are being set up to watch the festivities. Reserve at 202-662-7443 or [email protected]

Jan. 26 -- Club presidential inauguration. "Game On: A Black Tie Tailgate" will celebrate incoming Club President Angela Greiling Keane, transportation reporter for Bloomberg News, fan of the Green Bay Packers and Girl Scout Gold Award recipient. The festivities begin at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $95 and can be purchased online at press.org/inauguration2013.

Feb. 1 -- Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist and best-selling author Dave Barry will discuss his new book, "Insane City," at 1 pm. Tickets are free for Club members and $5 for the general public. Barry will sign books purchased through the National Press Club. As this is a fundraiser for the Club's Journalism Institute, no outside books will be permitted. Reservations are required at www.press.org/events/barry.
