Henry Paulson, former Treasury secretary, is guest at April 17 Book Rap

Henry Paulson, former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury, will discuss his new book “Dealing with China: An Insider Unmasks the New Economic Superpower” in a conversation with Andrea Mitchell, veteran NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent, at National Press Club Book Rap scheduled for 12 noon, Friday, April 17,in the Holeman Lounge.

Registration is required. Tickets are $5 for National Press Club members, $10 for the public. A light lunch will be served.

In “Dealing with China,” Paulson draws on his unprecedented access to China’s political and business elite to detail the creation, evolution and future of China's state-controlled capitalism. The book answers questions like: How did China become an economic superpower so quickly? How does business really get done there? What are the best ways for Western businesses and political leaders to work with, compete with and benefit from China?

This event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit National Press Club Journalism Institute. No outside books or memorabilia are permitted. Books must be purchased through the National Press Club. All sales are final.
