Hear Del Wilber describe life inside homicide squad on June 21

Del Quentin Wilber, Justice Department reporter for the Los Angeles Times, plans to speak about his latest book, ``A Good Month for Murder: The Inside Story of a Homicide Squad,'' at a National Press Club Book Rap on Tuesday, June 21, at 6:30 p.m.

The event is sponsored by the Club's Book & Author Committee and includes an author discussion, question-and-answer session from the audience and book signing. Tickets are $5 for Press Club members and $10 for non-members. The event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit National Press Club Journalism Institute. Tickets can be purchased online by clicking here.

Books can be purchased online at the same time as tickets or at the event. No outside books are permitted.

To report the book, Wilber embedded with the Prince George's County, Maryland, homicide unit and was with them in February 2013, a month that witnessed 12 murders in the county outside Washington, D.C.

Wilber is a New York Times best-selling author for his previous book ``Rawhide Down,'' which tells the story of the assassination attempt on former President Ronald Reagan. He previously reported for Bloomberg News, The Washington Post and the Baltimore Sun.
