Have your picture taken with America's first Girl Scout

In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts of the USA, the very first Girl Scout, Juliette Gordon Low, will make an appearance at the Club.

Madame Tussaud¹s wax statute of Gordon Low will accompany the Scouts' chief executive officer, Anna Maria Chavez, at the May 30 luncheon.

Gordon Low's statue will spend the afternoon in the Club’s ballroom. Luncheon attendees will have an opportunity to pose beside the replica of the woman who founded what is now the world’s largest organization for girls.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $19 for Club members, $30 for guests of members, and $37 for general admission. To reserve tickets, please e-mail [email protected] or call 202-662-7501. Tickets must be paid for at time of reservation.

To submit a question in advance, put Girl Scouts in the subject line and email to [email protected] before 10 a.m. on the day of the luncheon.
