Hallowscreen Attracts "Stars"

Scarlett O'Hara, Dr. Strangelove, Groucho Marx, Marilyn Monroe and other Hollywood luminaries descended on the Club Oct. 30 for the Hallowscreen. Dr. Strangelove (Andrew Schneider, chairman of the Book & Author Committee) took home first place for best costume.

Indie-rock band Deleted Scenes and DJ Matt Spangler provided spook-tacular musical entertainment, and Alisa Parenti, an award-winning anchor for Marketwatch Radio Network, emceed.

Any proceeds will benefit the NPC's scholarship fund, which plays a vital role in launching the careers of talented young journalists who bring diversity to American news outlets.
