The future of health care will be subject of Jan. 9 luncheon with HHS Secretary Burwell

U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell will discuss the the impact of the Republican-promised repeal of the Affordable Care Act at a club luncheon Jan. 9.

The health care law has brought coverage to more than 20 million Americans who would no longer have insurance if Republicans do away with it, as President-elect Donald Trump promised on the campaign trail. Republicans have not offered any alternative that covers as many Americans.

Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., with remarks beginning at 12 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 1 p.m. Tickets cost $24 for Club members, who may purchase 2 tickets at this rate, and $38 for all other non-member tickets. Purchase tickets online.

For questions, please email [email protected] or call 202-662–7501. Tickets must be paid for at the time of purchase.
