French presidential candidate Marine Le Pen to outline platform, 6 p.m. Nov. 2

Marine Le Pen, a candidate for the French presidency and a member of the European Union Parliament, will outline her economic and political vision for France at a National Press Club Newsmaker at 6 p.m. Wedneday, Nov. 2, in the Lisagor Room.

Her economic plan includes a balanced-budget amendment and a restructuring or total elimination of the euro system, which she says harms France through the financial irresponsibility of other E.U. nations.

Le Pen, an attorney and the youngest daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen, former president of the Front National Party of France (FN), is chairwoman of the party.
