Former National Security Adviser James Jones to address May 16 luncheon

Gen. James L. Jones (ret.), former national security adviser for the Obama administration, will address a National Press Club luncheon on Monday, May 16.

Jones, a retired four-star general, will discuss strategic imperatives for the volatile Middle East, focusing on Iran, Libya, Egypt, Israel, Palestine and northern Africa.

Jones served as the 32nd Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps and Supreme Allied Commander in Europe before joining the Obama administration as national security adviser. He resigned that post in November.

Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m., with the speech beginning at 1 p.m. and ending at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 for Club members, $29 for guests of members and $36 for general admission.
