The event is sponsored by the Young Members Committee and the Book & Authors Committee and includes an author discussion, question-and-answer session from the audience, and book signing. The event is free for members and $10 for the public. Click here for tickets.

While women are still under-represented among political leaders, Broad Influence argues that they have reached a critical mass in all three branches of government where their numbers are large enough to affect change in politics and policy. The book examines how women have fought for their seat at the table and what more can to be done.

Newton-Small tells the story of women changing the game through in-depth interviews with prominent women including Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Valerie Jarrett, Kelly Ayotte, Cathy McMorris Rodgers and dozens of other former and current senators, members of Congress, senior White House staffers, governors and cabinet members.
