Club hosts Democratic debate watch party, 7:30 pm Oct. 13
The National Press Club will host its third Debate Watch Party of the 2016 campaign at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 13 in the conference rooms.
With huge TV audiences for the two Republican debates so far, the Club events have sold out quickly. Now it's the Democrats' turn.
Tickets -- $10 for Club members and $15 for non-members -- can be purchased online. We will wristband ticket holders, who get access to snacks and a first drink ticket.
You can make an evening of it by making a dinner reservation at the Reliable Source or Fourth Estate restaurants before the event begins.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. to give the audience a chance to watch some of the pregame analysis. The debate begins at 9 p.m. on CNN.
The Reliable Source also will be showing the debates but will only be open to Club members.
Both locations will be serving drink specials for $6 each:
The Hillary – Brooklyn Lager brought to you by a remote server
The Bernie – Stolichnaya, with a drop of Vermont Maple Syrup
The O’Malley – Irish Coffee (decaf)
The Webb – Old Dominion Pale Ale
The Chafee – Sea Breeze
The first two Republican debates drew more than 20 million viewers each. CNN is expecting another huge audience this time.
