Celebrate journalism excellence at the National Press Club awards dinner, July 28; Tickets available now

This seems like a very good year to celebrate the best of journalism at the National Press Club Awards Dinner on Friday, July 28.

The winners of the Press Club’s journalism contest will be honored at a reception and dinner at the club. The reception in the Holeman Lounge starts at 6 p.m. and the dinner and program start at 7 p.m. in the National Press Club Ballroom.

Club President Jeff Ballou said that recognizing quality work and the bravery of our colleagues is very appropriate right now.

"Particularly at a time when far too many question whether journalism has lost its way, the National Press Club and its institute create a global forum where the best, the brightest, the bravest and the future of our profession remind everyone that the craft still matters,” he said, adding that “we stand for the values of a free and independent press explicitly spelled out in the U.S. Constitution."

Tickets to this event are $50 per person. Reservations are required and must be made here.
