Book Fair to draw over 100 noted authors, among them Ralph Nader, other writers of books on politics, Nov. 18

Are politics and current affairs your passions? If so, don’t miss the National Press Club’s 39th Annual Book Fair & Authors’ Night on Friday, Nov. 18, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

A host of authors of top-selling political and current affairs books, including consumer advocate and former presidential candidateRalph Nader, will be among more than 100 nationally known writers who will autograph and sell their books at the festive event.

Admission to the 39th annual fair is $5 for Club members, $10 for non-members. Tickets can be purchased online.

Nader be promoting his new book, “Breaking Through Power: It's Easier Than We Think.” Other political-current affairs headliners present will be Michael Kranish and Marc Fisher with “Trump Revealed: An American Journey of Ambition, Ego, Money, and Power”; Elaine C. Kamarch with “Why Presidents Fail And How They Can Succeed Again”; Robert Strauss with “Worst.President.Ever” ; and Steve Forbes and Elizabeth Ames with “Reviving America: How Repealing Obamacare, Replacing the Tax Code and Reforming The Fed will Restore Hope and Prosperity.”

The National Press Club is staging the event in partnership with Politics & Prose, Washington’s largest independent bookstore.

The event is a fundraiser for The National Press Club’s Journalism Institute, a 501 (c) (3) that supports press freedom worldwide, provides training for news professionals and scholarships for the next generation of journalists.

No outside books or memorabilia permitted. All books must be purchased on site.
