Bangkok trip among silent auction treasures at Fourth Estate banquet Sept. 21

Thinking of a trip to Bangkok but unsure how to get there and where to stay? Here’s a suggestion: How about round-trip tickets for two on Cathay Pacific Airlines and three nights at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel? The price? It’s up to you and the other bidders at the silent auction at the Fourth Estate Award dinner on Friday, Sept. 21.

The donations are among the dozens of ooh-la-la items that will be auctioned at the dinner, which honors Washington Post writer and editor Bob Woodward for a lifetime of journalistic achievement.

The proceeds of the dinner and the auction benefit NPC's National Journalism Institute, the Club’s non-profit arm, which provides professional development and training services to the journalism community and scholarships to aspiring journalists.

Tickets are $125 for NPC members. Members may buy one additional ticket at that price. Ticket sales end Friday, Sept. 14.
