Attend American Experience screening for a chance to win DVD collection

One attendee of Thursday evening's "American Experience" screening of the Clinton biopic will win an "American Experience: Presidents" DVD collection.

Thursday's 30-minute screening, which will begin at 7 p.m. in the First Amendment Lounge, will be followed by a panel discussion featuring investigative journalist Michael Isikoff, executive producer of PBS’ "American Experience" Mark Samels, Emmy and Peabody award-winning filmmaker Barak Goodman ("My Lai"), and Pulitzer Prize-winning Washington Post reporter David Maraniss. Registered attendees of the screening are eligible to win the collection.

The collection features biopics of Presidents Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, John Kennedy. Lyndon B. Johnson, Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush. The ten 20th century biographies offer an intimate and compelling look at the men who have defined and re-defined the modern presidency, and who led the country through some of the most turbulent and consequential moments in our history. Focusing on the intersection of public and private, character and history, these presidential biographies have captivated viewers, delighted teachers, impressed critics and won virtually every documentary award worth winning.

In "Clinton," the latest installment in the collection of presidential biographies, "American Experience" explores the story of an American president who rose from a turbulent childhood in Arkansas.The film recounts a career of accomplishment and scandal, a marriage that would make history and create controversy, and a presidency that would define the crucial and transformative period between the fall of the Berlin Wall and 9/11.
