Alexander McCall Smith to make only Washington appearance at Club April 14

In his only appearance in Washington, D.C., best-selling author Alexander McCall Smith will discuss his new book, “The Limpopo Academy of Private Detection: No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency (13),” at the National Press Club on April 14 at 12:15 p.m.

McCall Smith will sign copies of “The Limpopo Academy of Private Detection” as well as his latest young reader title, “The Great Cake Mystery: Precious Ramotswe's Very First Case," following the discussion and question-and-answer period. The author will only sign copies purchased through the Club.

Come early for brunch at the Club's Fourth Estate restaurant, starting at 10:30 a.m., by purchasing VIP tickets. Click here to purchase tickets. VIP tickets, which include brunch, a copy of the book and a reserved seat are $55 for members and $70 for the public. General admission tickets are $10 for members and $20 for the public. Member tickets are limited to one per member.
