Agriculture Secretary Vilsack to Speak at June 5 Luncheon

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack will speak at a Club luncheon at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, June 5, with remarks beginning at 1 pm, followed by a question-and-answer session ending at 2 pm.

Vilsack will discuss risks of droughts, floods, invasive pests and food waste in the United States and highlight solutions to improve sustainability.

Before ascending to the position of USDA secretary in January 2009, Vilsack, a native of Pittsburgh, served two terms as the governor of Iowa. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination for president in 2008.

Club Members who wish to attend the preluncheon reception must RSVP separately to [email protected] 48 hours before the event. Space may be limited. You must have a paid reservation to the luncheon to attend the VIP reception.
