The silent auction also brought in several winners, who won everything from Vineyard Vines gear to a basket of Lancaster County goodies. The silent auction for big ticket items like coffee with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour and front row seats to a taping of CBS’s “Face the Nation” is still ongoing. Go to and search “National Press Club” through Sept. 25 to bid on these items and more.

A special thank you to all our participants, sponsors and volunteers for making this year’s race a major success. Your involvement once again benefitted the National Press Club Scholarship for Diversity in Journalism.
