What are the seven deadly sins of bad PR measurement? Find out at the next "Get It Online" lunch discussion this Friday, Dec. 4, in the Club's Game Room.

Shonali Burke, a noted social PR strategist, will describe the basics of good PR measurement and, conversely, the seven deadly sins of bad measurement. She will discuss how to differentiate between fact and fiction in the measurement context.

Burke,owner of Shonali Burke Consulting, rebuilt the communication function of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and instituted its award-winning measurement program. She was named to PR Week magazine's first "Top 40 Under 40" list and the first list of "25 Women That Rock Social Media." Burke frequently speaks on, and is quoted in, industry events and media.

The "Get It Online" lunch discussion series brings experts in social media and digital communication to the National Press Club for a members-only lunch discussion.

Burke will deliver a short presentation, then answer questions and lead a discussion. Members and guests should plan to be seated by 12 noon. The cost of the event includes a buffet lunch, water and iced tea, tax and gratuity.

The cost is $15 for members and $75 for non-member guests. The event will conclude by 1:30 p.m.
