Rutherford Wine Co. wines will be featured at a Fourth Estate Wine Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4. Tickets are $70 for members and their guests, $93 for non-members.

The event includes a reception and five-course dinner with five featured wines:

Rutherford Ranch Napa Sauvignon Blanc 2007, Lander Jenkins Chardonnay 2008, Scott Estate Pinot Noir 2007, Lander Jenkins Cabernet 2007 and Rutherford Ranch Reserve Cabernet 2005.

Local indie-rock band Deleted Scenes and DJ Matt Spangler will provide spook-tacular musical entertainment, and Alisa Parenti, an award-winning anchor for MarketWatch Radio Network, will emcee the event.

Risk Reporting Seminars, Oct. 26-28; Free for Members

Two seminars, Oct. 26 through 28, will help you cover stories that involve risk. From plane crashes, food poisoning and climate change to terrorism, the environment, health and public safety, there are key questions you need to answer in order to tell your audience whether something is risky and, if so, how much.
