NPC Luncheon

As the tax deadline approaches and presidential candidates talk up their plans for tax reforms, John Koskinen, commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service, will speak at March 24 National Press Club luncheon.

Koskinen, who has led the agency since Dec. 2013, will discuss the future of the IRS, which collects $3.3 trillion in tax revenue each year, employs about 90,000 people and has a budget of approximately $11.2 billion. Challenges facing the commissioner include improving customer service and dealing with the risk of hacking and identity theft.

Lunch will be served at 12:30, with remarks beginning at 1 p.m., followed by a Q&A session ending at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $24 for National Press Club members and one guest, and $38 for non-members. Tickets may be purchased online by going to the following LINK. For questions, please email [email protected] or call (202) 662-7501.

NPC members who wish to attend the pre-luncheon reception must RSVP separately to [email protected] at least 48 hours in advance. Space may be limited. You must have a paid reservation to the Luncheon to attend the VIP reception.

To submit a question in advance, put NPCIRS in the subject line and email to [email protected] before the day of the luncheon.
