NPC Book Event

Former Speaker of the House and 2012 presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will appear at a National Press Club Headliners Event on June 16th at 10 a.m. in the club’s Holeman Lounge to discuss his new book, Understanding Trump.

In Understanding Trump, Gingrich shares what he learned from more than two years helping Donald J. Trump throughout his presidential campaign, during his transition from presidential candidate to Commander in Chief, and in his first few months in office. Gingrich provides a unique perspective on how the new president’s past experience as a business leader has shaped his political agenda and approach to governing the country.

This event will feature a discussion with the author, an audience question-and-answer session, and a book signing. Tickets are $5 for National Press Club members and $10 for the general public. Copies of the book can be purchased online at the same time as tickets or at the event. No outside books or memorabilia are permitted.

Proceeds from this event benefit the non-profit affiliate of the Club, the National Press Club Journalism Institute, which offers innovative, practical training to journalists and communications professionals working in a rapidly-changing media environment.

The National Press Club is located on the 13th Floor of the National Press Building at 529 14th St., NW, Washington, D.C.
