Special Event

Two Supreme Court justices, Antonin Scalia and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, will join host Marvin Kalb to talk about the First Amendment as well as the origins and contemporary meaning of freedom.

The program starts promptly at 6:00 p.m. (note different time from usual Kalb Reports).

One 45-word sentence sets out the basic freedoms that define American democracy – freedom of religion, speech, the press, assembly and to petition the government. Kalb will explore with Scalia and Ginsburg the Court’s role in interpreting those freedoms. The program will give a rare behind-the-gavel look at the court’s inner workings.

Admission is free but limited to NPC members only.
